Economy Option pays 2/3 of the calculated prize money. The remaining amount goes back to the budget to offset Economy Fee Discount.
Play-up fee applies if playing in a higher section than your rating in June 2014 supplement.

Kids' Side Event
Signature Swiss & Quads tournaments

You may participate in either or both of the following events...

Tip: Choose Swiss and/or Quads based on your schedule...
Swiss are in the morning and slightly longer than the Quads in the afternoon.

Please note: these tournaments are for scholastic players of 18 years or younger, and with rating under 1400. Adults and advanced scholastic players shoud consider the Summer Championships.

Swiss
Prizes: All players with a plus score and teams in each section
Schedule: 4 games, 10am to about 1:30pm (Onsite Registration: 9:30-9:45am - Check-in is not requred)

Time Control: G/30 d5 (each player gets 30 minutes)
3 sections: unrated & u500, 500-799, 800+

Entry Fee:
Phoenix: 33 (2 days before tourney), 15 extra onsite
Salt Lake City: 20 (2 days before the tourney), 15 extra onsite

Quads
Prizes: All players with a plus score
Schedule: 3 round-robin games, 2pm to about 5pm
Reqd Check-in & Registration: 2:00-2:30pm

Time Control: G/30 d5 (each player gets 30 minutes)
Important: Check-in with the TD is REQUIRED. If you do not check in by 2:30pm, you WILL NOT PLAY.

Sections: Four players based on rating/age - select rated or non-rated options -
USCF membership is not required for non-rated sections (but required for rated)

Phoenix: 25 (2 days before tourney), 15 extra onsite
Salt Lake city: 20 (2 days before tourney), 15 extra onsite
